Rural Summer Camps

Volunteer Experience with Enjoy Volunteering

Through my involvement with the non-profit organization Enjoy Volunteering, founded in 2012, I had the opportunity to participate in several rural summer and winter camps. My responsibilities included preparing educational games and reading picture books with children. These experiences allowed me to connect with students in underprivileged areas and make a meaningful contribution to their educational development.

Along with nine other college students from different universities, I helped organize a one-month rural summer camp for secondary school students in Sichuan. We focused on educational activities that fostered creativity and learning. 👇

📅 December 2015 - January 2016

In collaboration with two full-time staff members from Enjoy Volunteering and six other college students, we conducted a one-month rural winter camp at Shangzhuang Primary School. Our goal was to create a nurturing environment where students could continue learning during the winter break. 👇

Third Camp

📍 Shandong, China

📅 July - August 2016

Six months later, I returned to Shangzhuang Primary School as the team leader. Together with eleven college students and three volunteers from Samsung, we organized a follow-up visit. This visit focused on building on the previous camps' success and further engaging the students in meaningful educational activities. 👇
